Divers in Vivian Quarry
Vivian quarrry located in Padarn Country Park is a popular destination for divers. Why not take a walk from the village centre, visit the Country Park and follow one of the many paths which take you through the old quarries and inclines. On your return, go through the tunnel into the vivian quarry and look out for the bubbles in the water. There be divers down below!
Rock Climbing in the Llanberis Pass on the infamous 'Crackstone Rib' graded Severe.
A well known rock route which is a classic climb in Snowdonia. Take a drive up the Llanberis pass on a nice day and sit by the river with a picnic. From the valley floor you will see rock climbers like ants all around you, scaling the cliffs on either side of the valley.
Steam train on the Llanberis Lake Railway
Why not go to Slate museum (free to visit) and discover the local history of the quarries. Then hop on the train and take a ride along the shores of the lake.
Crib Goch in winter
Crib Goch (Red ridge) forms part of the infamous 'Snowdon Horseshoe' which is an exhilarating and strenuous mountain walk. for those less daring, why not catch the Sherpa bus to Pen y Pass and walk up the Miners or PYG track to the summit of Snowdon. make sure you are prepared though as the mountains don't forgive easily!
Snowdon Mountain Railway
Starting from Llanberis, this unique rack and pinion line runs all the way to the summit. Book early during the peak season as the train is very popular!
