11th December 2014
Every year there is a Christmas Fair in Llanberis which is a fantastic event for all the family.
The evening starts off with a lantern parade from the community centre which makes its way through the village, accompanied by drums, fire eaters and jugglers to the centre of the village High Street. There is then some carol singing and performances by the 'Honeyz' dance troupe and then Santa makes an extra special visit to the village to turn on the Christmas tree lights and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. There are also lots of stalls with toys for the kiddies and a glass of mulled wine for Mum and Dad and much more! This is a great family occasion and all are welcome.
All are welcome to attend the workshops where you can build your own lantern, can we make an even more magnificent lantern to rival last years dragon? Tam will be on hand to show you how to do it.
The lantern parade will start from the Ganolfan.
There will be stalls in the Heights car parks and music, dancing, food and drink suitable for all ages.
A poster competition is being held, A4 size, bright and colourful to promote the event.
Entries (name age and address on the back) to Juliet Bennett in Tan Y Ddraig.
If you would like to help, and a lot of help is needed, setting up on the day, clearing up afterwards and marshalling on the evening.
